This is a good book to have if you are learning what the Ninja Blender & Soupmaker can do. The recipes are well explained and there is a good variety to choose from.

Unfortunately, I would point out:

1. the hot food recipes suggest a high quantity of salt and pepper. Two teaspoons of sea salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper! The end result, if you follow the recipe faithfully, is way beyond salty and really should be tempered down. This is a book written for the American/Canadian market so perhaps they prefer very salty food. Otherwise, for we Europeans, I would stick with the usual I.e., “add salt and pepper to taste” or “season to taste”;

2. the recipe for Creamy Carrot & Ginger Soup states it’s suitable for Vegans. This is not the case because the first ingredient to use is 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter. The recipe is definitely vegetarian but not vegan. It’s no big deal as the butter can be substituted with coconut oil etc., but if you are a Vegan keep a sharp lookout.

However, as I said initially, it’s a good book to have to help you use the Ninja Blender & Soupmaker to the full and on that basis, I would recommend you buy it.
